Wedding photography is both an enormous responsibility and a privilege. I am aware that it is my duty to capture the emotions and spirit of one of the most important days of someone’s life.

To be a part of this experience is incredible and it is both my passion and duty to capture these special moments and create a lasting memory and legacy that will stay with the family for generations to come. Wedding photography is all about capturing emotions and creating a gift those families can enjoy and reflect upon later in life. I have always held the deepest respect for the power and currency of images and to be given the opportunity of being the creator of such memorable and important images is constantly inspiring.

Wedding and party photography relies on the photographic skills that I have built up over the last twenty years. Throughout your celebration, I’m required to draw upon a multitude of disciplines: I am a fashion photographer and a portrait photographer. I am a documentary photographer and a landscape photographer. It’s essential that you feel at ease in front of my camera and able to fully enjoy yourselves whilst entirely confident that the images I create will provide a lasting reminder of the magic and wonder you experienced on your day.  I approach each aspect of the wedding photography with focus and concentration and endeavour to create powerful images with flair and creativity that bottle the spirit and emotion of your wedding.

Throughout my career the one aspect which has remained constant is people. I’m endlessly fascinated by people and love to meet new people and tell their stories through the art of photography. My photographs are full of life and emotion, delivered with artistic flair and editorial sensibilities.

Does the photographer take a picture or create a picture?

Engaged in wedding photography I am undertaking a combination of both. For much of the day I am very much shooting in a documentary or reportage style. I am there to record the celebration as it happens and create a narrative in pictures. I hope to be candid, discreet and predict what may happen in order to be in the right place at the right time. But there are moments when I am creating a photograph and setting a scene. I aim to construct an image that is styled to reflect the beauty and romance of the both the couple and the setting and naturally avoiding anything contrived. I focus on details and am aware that subtle changes and alterations can make a massive impact. There is teamwork, guidance and interaction and we need to share the same vision.

My work continues to take me around the world capturing incredible moments. I have photographed destination weddings and parties in Munich, Monaco, Mallorca, Thailand, Tuscany, Corsica, Ireland, Paris, Zimbabwe and Fiji. Just a few memorable commissions include Elton John’s engagement party at The Ritz, Alice Temperley’s wedding for Vogue, Madonna’s birthday party for Vogue, jumping between yachts at the Monaco Grand Prix snapping celebrities for Harpers Bazaar, being sent to Ibiza to simply photograph ‘beautiful people’ for The Evening Standard and being part of the official photographic team on four royal weddings.

Whilst this is all very grand and glamourous, it’s hard to beat the genuine joy of a wedding. And whether you’re celebrating your wedding in London or somewhere far flung, it would be my honour to be your wedding photographer.
